Happy New YearsTufters! We are excited to move into this new year while creating new rugs and memories with the community. Thank you all so much for keeping Carrie and I busy with consistent workshops and customer commissions. We are working on a 8 foot custom rug at the moment which is inspired by our recent trip to China. This piece will be a staple of Carrie’s creativity and years of dedication to the art of Tufting. We hope to have this piece completed by next month’s Art walk in Pioneer Square.
What is Tufting?
Tufting is an ancient technique where thread is inserted into fabric repetitively in a form of a loop with an aid of a “tufting gun”. These loops can be cut to add a tufted appearance thus creating rugs.
In our workshop, you will be given over 50+ yarn colors to choose from.
We use other fabrics/textiles as well such as cotton, wool, rope, recycled clothing.
About Us
Hi, we are Carrie and Joel. We are Tufting instructors/Artists from Seattle. We started making custom rugs and during 2021. We fell in love with tufting because of how beginner friendly it was. That quickly expanded in the past three years to teaching workshops. Our love for tufting and art drives us to keep pushing the boundaries of tufting.
